Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen) 2021 Model Setup Guide

First steps
Once you receive your Echo device, follow the setup instructions below.
1. Complete setup

Turn on your new Echo device and follow the on-screen setup instructions. During these steps, you will need to connect your device to Wi-Fi and associate your Echo device with your Amazon account. If you need help setting up your device, contact us
2. Talk to Alexa
Talk to Alexa
When the configuration is complete, say “Alexa” to activate your Echo device, then say what you want to do. When Alexa has heard your request and is ready to respond, a blue light bar appears at the bottom of the screen. To start, say: "Alexa, show me things to try" , see the Alexa guide or section Discover Alexa on the Echo device to learn about the many things to try with Alexa. Go to the section Discover Alexa by swiping your finger from the left side of the screen to the right.

With the Alexa app, you can manage your contacts, view your to-do and shopping lists, control your music remotely, link your accounts and more.

Cover your Echo device's camera by sliding the small button in the upper right corner of the device. Mute the microphone and camera by pressing the Microphone/Camera Off button on your Echo device. A red bar will appear at the bottom of the screen, telling you that the microphone and camera are disabled. You can view, listen to, and delete your voice recordings in the Alexa app by selecting the menu Settings > Alexa and your personal information or in the settings relating to your personal information (you will need to log in to your Amazon account first). To delete your voice recordings, make sure you have voice deletion turned on in your personal information settings, then say: “Alexa, delete what I just said” Where “Alexa, delete everything I said today” .
